Alison Kimble began writing because she loves stories and believes in their power to shape our world and ourselves. Her writing blends the real and the fantastical and crosses genres of horror, fantasy, and sci-fi. She has written one novel, Strange Gods, and is working on her next.
She loves books featuring unique worlds and new magic systems, or worlds like ours with a few magical twists. She gravitates toward competent characters who are tested to their limits, who have to make tough choices and pull off impossible feats with unexpected solutions. She is a sucker for characters who advance from novices to experts, and who transition from victims to empowered.
She lives in the Greater Seattle Area with her husband and spends her time walking in the woods, going to the movies, and seeking adventures large and small.
